Company History
ASIST Translation Services, Inc., founded in 1983, has grown into a global resource for translation and interpretation services. In its early history, the company was focused on translating highly technical materials into all major languages. ASIST was also involved in drafting analytical reports on current, state-of-the-art technologies, using information in foreign publications under the auspices of U.S. Government agencies. A reflection of its original heritage, the acronym ASIST stands for "Associates in Scientific Information Search and
Translation".
Over the following years, ASIST evolved into a company that provides translation and interpreting services of all types — technical and non-technical. Responding to our clients' needs, our in-house production department evolved to include page layout (DTP), audio-video and multimedia capabilities, in order to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all content types into multiple languages. As the Internet increased in importance, our translation services for Web site localization expanded to meet this demand. Through our 25 years of experience and the efforts of our in-house marketing and production departments, we have developed reliable methods for translation and project management. These are constantly changing based on the needs of our clients. We strive to ensure both highest quality translations and effective quality control.
